The Golden Spike Chapter of the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society is proud to present Spotlight King, an ongoing research and history project surrounding the life of David S. King.
Throughout 2020, we’ll present weekly information about David S. King, a Ogden, Utah, resident that made claims to have rubbed shoulders in the 1940’s & 1950’s with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood while working as a waiter on the Super Chief passenger train.
Many of Spotlight King’s claims are fascinating and questionable. Did he really meet so many Hollywood elites? How did he acquire so many celebrity autographs and photos? And was David Spotlight King really his name?
This this year we’ll present you with information about Spotlight’s life so you can make your own conclusion. If anything, his life makes for a good story. And if you knew the man known as David “Spotlight” King in Ogden, Utah, and have some information you can share, please reach out and let us know, firstname.lastname@example.org.
