Ogden resident Michael Ackley has recently purchased a Soo Line Caboose as an addition to the Western Town on his property. An email from Mike reads:

We recently purchased a 1973, extended vision Soo Line Caboose #67 from a gentlemen in Sioux City Iowa. The caboose is in excellent condition with all the windows in place, three original chairs, a desk, sink, toilet & oil stove. The previous owner was planning to turn the caboose into a guest house, he sand blasted the caboose, but never did any additional restoration. Included in the sale was 50 feet of track & ties. We are planning on moving it to Ogden in June [2020], weather permitting. Once it is in place in our backyard we’re planning to completely restore it for use as a guest house. It is the perfect addition to our Western Town. We will be in touch with the [Golden Spike] chapter members to invite them out to see the caboose when it arrives in Ogden.
